Museum
Fotomuseum aan het Vrijthof is a private photography museum located in the center of Maastricht. We do not receive any structural funding from the Municipality of Maastricht, the Province of Limburg or from the national government. We are completely self-sufficient thanks to donations from companies, individuals, funds, the rental of the museum and paying visitors.
Mission/Vision statement
Twice a year the museum wants to present a national or international name from the photography world with an attractive program of events aimed at young people. The common thread of the exhibitions is: social relevance. There is room for experiment, online and offline and new crossovers within the cultural sector. Activities can also take place in other locations. A wide audience is treated in an accessible manner to high-profile experiences and exciting cross-pollinations in an atmospheric setting, where visitors are received with a 'zachte g'.
